Saturday 24th Jan, 7pm Make new friends, or bring old friends, and enjoy gaming. This is a bumper 3 hour game session in the R-CADE created for casual players looking to meet and play games with other retro videogame fans. You do not need to be good at videogames, just willing to have a go. We have over 2200 video games available to play on 20 different retro consoles. Our full games list can be viewed on our website. We will set up a number of classics and multiplayer games but you are welcome to request game changes throughout the evening. This event has been created for anyone looking to find a fun and inclusive space to enjoy video games with friends, or to make new friends and learn new games. You are not required to join in the meetup when you arrive, you can even choose a different game from our collection and play with others or by yourself. Our cafe area will also be open for you to order food and drink throughout the event. We also have over 300 boardgames available to play too, so you are never stuck for things to play! Please read our t&c's before booking: No customers under the age of 18 will be permitted to enter the venue after 7pm for any reason, this includes the cafe area. Valid identification may be required to gain entry. If you do not have valid ID you will not be granted access and no refund will be given. Alcohol is permitted at Over 18's events, however a corkage charge is levied on ALL drinks brought into the premises. Corkage fees are as follows and are non negotiable - Up to 330ml: £1 per beverage. 330ml and above: £2 per beverage. Wine and any drink above 12% ABV: £4 per beverage. Spirits (vodka, gin, whiskey, bourbon, rum, etc) are not permitted at anytime. Non-alcoholic beers and ciders are charged at a flat rate of £1 per beverage. This event will be held in the arcade area of the venue, but you are welcome to visit and play boardgames in the cafe throughout the event too. Our cafe menu can be found on our website cafe page. Refunds and reschedules will only be given up to one hour BEFORE your game session begins.
