FilmFest - Movie Presentation Party 18+

Saturday 15th August, 7pm R-CADE FilmFest presents: Movie Presentation night Do you have a favourite movie, or a movie you just hate so much you have to let others know about it? For one night only we are giving YOU the chance to tell the world! You can prepare a 'TedTalk' about your best or worst movie (or it can just be a movie you are passionate about in any context) before you arrive. On the night we will give you 5 minutes in front of the group to present your talk. We will then offer the group 5 minutes to ask you follow up questions about your presentation. This event will host 12 participants, each with their own 5 minute presentation. There will be time to order food and drink in our cafe too, and it will also be BYOB. To prepare for your presentation, we ask that you send us the title of your movie of choice, and an image of your movie (or title picture) that we can display on the projector screen. We do not need any additional digital presentation material, this event is a simple 'TedTalk' style presentation. You do not need to send us the title of your movie at the time of booking, but we will need movie title and image a week before the event. You can send details and image to team@rcadeglasgow.com . The image must be standard 1920x1080 or 16:9 aspect ratio. We will share the list of movies with the group at the end of the presentation for you to watch in your own time, and we will be sharing the list of movies in the R-CADE Discord server for you to discuss with the community after the event. Please read our t&c's before booking: No customers under the age of 18 will be permitted to attend this event. Valid identification may be required to gain entry. If you do not have valid ID you will not be granted access and no refund will be given. Alcohol is permitted in R-CADE after 7pm, however a corkage charge is levied on ALL drinks brought into the premises. All alcohol must be declared and paid for when you arrive at the venue and your booking is confirmed by the staff. Corkage fees are as follows and are non negotiable - Up to 330ml: £1 per beverage. 330ml and above: £2 per beverage. Wine and any drink above 12% ABV: £4 per beverage. Spirits (vodka, gin, whiskey, bourbon, rum, etc) are not permitted at anytime. Non-alcoholic beers and ciders are charged at a flat rate of £1 per beverage. Anyone found to be drinking without paying corkage will be asked to leave the premises immediately with no refunds.
