Friday 7th August, 7pm Have you ever wanted to discuss your favourite games with like minded people and even some that are part of the industry? Viva La Games Club is a gaming spin on the book club craze that is currently happening. Your host Vivalahazy will be joined by guests to discuss gaming classics, and also their journey and life in the gaming industry. This event features Scotland’s resident Mario expert, Chris Scullion, who is the Deputy Editor for VGC, and is a former writer for Official Nintendo Magazine and Computer & Videogames (CVG) magazine, as well as the author for multiple retro console encyclopaedias. This month’s game will be none other than the Nintendo Wii classic, Super Mario Galaxy, but will no doubt branch off onto other Mario classics, including stories about a little known game called Doki Doki Panic. Be sure to join us for a a chat about our experiences with the game and a conversation about Chris’ life in gaming and journalism. Audience participation is welcome The talk will begin soon after 7pm in the arcade area. You will be seated in the arcade during the event. Your ticket will also grant you access to play in the arcade for the rest of the evening once the event has ended, around 8:30-9pm. Our venue will be open until 10pm. Please read our T&C's before booking: R-CADE is strictly over 18's after 7pm, as this event runs until 10pm, you must be over 18 to attend this event. Valid identification may be required to gain entry. If you do not have valid ID you will not be granted access and no refund will be given. Alcohol is permitted in R-CADE after 7pm, a corkage charge is levied on ALL drinks brought into the premises however this fee is waived for this event. All alcohol must be declared when you arrive at the venue and your booking is confirmed by the staff. Refunds and reschedules can only be processed up to one hour before the event begins. If you book a ticket but can no longer make it please contact us as soon as you can.
