With the exciting announcement of our shiny new venue opening in July, we also announced that we would be launching a very important Kickstarter campaign on the 1st of June. This did not happen, and here's why...
From the moment we signed the lease to our new venue, we got to work and built an exciting Kickstarter campaign to help fund the build of our bigger, brighter arcade. We created a video to explain what our plan was, and listed a whole bunch of fantastic rewards for backers who pledged towards our project. We scheduled a livestream on our Twitch channel to launch our Kickstarter and give viewers a tour of our new venue, and we had everything ready to go for an epic month of crowdfunding! Unfortunately as we submitted our project for approval, Kickstarter denied our campaign. They seemed to think that we were looking for funds to pay for our current venue and not the build of a new venue. We appealed the decision but they got back to us and told us no, again.
This decision has put a very big and annoying spanner in the works. The funds from this campaign are extremely important to us, but now we have to put our building plans on hold as we try to find and create an alternative crowdfunding project.
We will still be opening in July, but we may not be opening with all of the bells and whistles we had hoped for. We are still looking to launch a crowdfunding campaign so we can also offer our followers fantastic rewards and perks, but until we can create a new project we may have to hold off some of our build plans for the new venue. We want to thank everyone for their support and kind words, we really do have the most awesome community!

Our wee arcade on 146 Saltmarket is still open every weekend for the rest of June, with our special last events happening on the weekend of the 24th.
