It's finally summer! We are ready for some super fun gaming at R-CADE this month. So what's happening at R-CADE in June, check out our upcoming events:
To kick off the month our pals Roll Wi' It are bringing their most epic boardgames for you to try out on June 1st. Join us from 7pm and choose from Zombicide: Undead Or Alive, Monarch, Tiny Epic Zombies, Tiny Epic Galaxies, Bargain Quest, Catan or Coup! This event is strictly 18+, BYOB
The first Friday of each month is our friendship club. For gamers age 8-16 who want to make some new friends through the joy of retro gaming. This club is almost full this month so make sure to buy your ticket asap!
A Friendship club for grown ups?...
Big kids want to make friends too you know! Introducing our first R-CADE Lates friendship club! An evening of multiplayer games, BYOB and party games for you all to try out and make some new pals. This event is on Saturday June 10th from 7pm.
It's time to Pivot!
The first Saturday of each month is the R-CADE quiz night! This month to celebrate friendship we will be hosting the most epic FRIENDS QUIZ! 6 rounds of trivia from the show, and prizes for all teams! Space is also filling up fast for this event so get your team assembled now! Over 18's, BYOB
Our tournaments for June will be Bomberman and Mariokart, but with twist! The R-CADE multi-platform tournaments are hosted across multiple consoles and games throughout the evening, with an overall winner scoring top points and prizes! You may be great at Mariokart Double Dash, but can you handle Rainbow Road on Mariokart 64? Both events run on Thursdays in June from 7pm. Over 18's. BOOK HERE
You asked for it, so here it is. We are bringing back GUITAR HERO NIGHT! Yes we have the full collection of Guitar Hero and Rock Band games on the Xbox 360 (plus Playstation titles too) that we will be setting up for an evening of rocking out! Over 18's, BYOB. Saturday 24th June 7pm
WELL DONE students!
We want to end the month with a chance to celebrate the hard work all you students have put in this year. We will be hosting not one, but TWO graduation parties at R-CADE on Friday the 30th of June. Extended game time in our arcade, graduation gifts for all players and to immortalise the occasion we will be taking a 'Class of 23' photo in R-CADE for you all to keep forever! Our family friendly party begins at 4:40pm, and our over 18's party begins at 7pm.
As always our quiet game sessions run every Thursday from 12-2pm. Our opening times for June will still be Thursday to Sunday, 12-7pm for all ages, and Thursday to Saturday, 7-10pm for over 18's. Our cafe is open to all without the need to book (unless there is a special event or private party, get in touch if you are unsure of dates). Our outdoor seating is the perfect excuse to play some exploding kittens in the sunshine with a nice cold drink too! Our crisp sandwiches are going down a treat and we have now introduced HOT TOASTIES!! Everything in our cafe menu is available to take away too.
We will be extending our opening times in July to 6 days a week! Our arcade session calendar for July / August is now live for you to start booking your summer sessions.
